Rv Ceiling Carpet Stain

I ve dealt with my fair share of carpet but this is the first rv i have renovated with a carpeted ceiling.

At first i though i will paint it. While the stain does not cause any harm it is unsightly. The appearance of a water stain is usually the first sign of a roof leak or a faulty seal. If the stains are not gone repeat the process.

The problem is carpet doesn t wear well especially when exposed to the kind of abuse an rv gets over time. Also with condensation you may get a 6 12 ring on the edge between the wall and ceiling. Cannot stand having anything that i cannot sanitize. In the morning vacuum off the residue.

Once the leak has been sealed and the ceiling and or drapes are dry spray some woolite oxydeep for carpet and upholstery on the ceiling and curtain stains. In most cases this will eliminate the stains. Sometimes you don t notice a water leak until you see a stain ring on the edge of your ceiling. The fabric ceilings when they get moisture pull the coloring from the wood backing to the fabric and leave water rings.

Once the proper repair is made to prevent further water leakage the water stain remains on the interior fabric of the rv ceiling. Water stains that appear on the ceiling of an rv are cause for concern. Cleaning stain from a rv cloth ceiling. Let it sit there overnight.

Bought an oil based primer and it took me 4 hours to thoroughly cover 4 sq ft of this stuff.
